Perennial Spiraea: Astilbe x arendsii
Astilbes are hardy herbaceous perennials, sometimes encouraged in garden centers to flower indoors for about a month during late winter and early spring, which is earlier than their normal summer-flowering period outdoors. They have deep-green, fern-like leaves and flowers borne in plume-like heads in colors such as clear pink, dark red, salmon-red, and white.
