Inch Plant, Green Wandering Jew, Wandering Jew, Wandering Sailor, White-Flowered Spiderwort: Tradescantia fluminensis
Earlier known as Tradescantia albiflora, this evergreen perennial has trailing stems with oval green leaves that are 2–3in (5–7.5cm) long, stalkless, and appear to partially clasp the stem. Invariably, variegated forms are grown, including ‘Albovittata’ (leaves striped white), ‘Aurea’ (yellow with green stripes), and ‘Tricolor Minima’ (small leaves striped pink, white, and mauve).
