Barrel Cactus, Golden Ball, Golden Ball Cactus, Golden Barrel Cactus: Echinocactus grusonii
A slow-growing cactus, primarily grown for its barrel-like shape, it is covered with golden-yellow, awl-shaped spines. Small, yellow flowers appear on very large plants when positioned in full sun.

Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water freely whenever it becomes dry. Feed every 2 weeks from late spring to late summer with weak liquid fertilizer. |
