Pig’s Ears: Cotyledon orbiculata
Succulent, evergreen, shrubby plant with branching stems and large, gray-green leaves, 5in (13cm) long and 2–3in (5–7.5cm) wide, with red edges. It produces tubular yellow and red flowers during midsummer.

Winter: 50–55°F (10–13°C); survives temperatures down to 41°F (5°C) if compost is kept dry. Full sun |

Care: In winter, water sparingly, especially if temperature is low; in summer, water freely but ensure good drainage. From late spring to late summer, feed every 2 weeks with weak liquid fertilizer. |

Propagation: Remove one or two leaves in early summer, allow the cut surface to dry, and insert in sandy compost. Place in 61°F (16°C). |
