Old Man Cactus: Cephalocereus senilis
This desert cactus is tall in the wild but much smaller as a houseplant. It has a pale-green body and yellow spines, completely covered by long white hairs. White flowers do not usually appear when grown indoors.

Winter: 45–50°F (7–10°C). Full sun |
Summer: 50–75°F (10–24°C). Full sun, or direct light without full sun |
Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water freely and feed every 2 weeks. |

Propagation: As it ages, the lower part becomes unattractive; cut off the top, allow the cut to dry for a few days, then insert in sandy compost, preferably in spring or summer, and place in 59–64°F (15–18°C). |
