Moon Valley Plant: Pilea mollis
Also known as Pilea ‘Moon Valley’ and Pilea involucrata ‘Moon Valley,’ this small, bushy perennial has wrinkle-surfaced, oval- to pear-shaped, pointed leaves. They are yellowish-green, covered with minute white hairs, and contrasted by darker green veining. When young and unfurling, they are almost entirely maroon, with emerald-green edges.

Care: In winter, keep compost lightly moist; in summer, water freely and feed every 2–3 weeks. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every year when young. |

Propagation: Take 3in (7.5cm) stem-tip cuttings in spring. Place in 64–70°F (18–21°C). |
