Cabeza del Viego, Old Man’s Cap: Echinocereus pectinatus
Desert cactus with a cylindrical nature, formed of a green stem with 25 ribs covered with clusters of small, comb-like white spines. During early summer it bears cerise-pink flowers, 3in (7.5cm) long, that open to form wide bells.
