Height: 6–12ft (1.8–3.6m), sometimes more |
Spread: 3–5ft (90cm–1.5m) |
Winter: 45–50°F (7–10°C). Full sun |
Summer: 50–70°F (10–21°C). Direct light without full sun, or indirect light |
Care: In winter, keep compost moist; in summer, water more freely but allow to become slightly dry between waterings. Feed every 2–3 weeks in summer, avoiding strong concentrations, which damage roots. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every year when young. Later, just top-dress the compost. |
|
Propagation: During early summer, cut off the growing tip, together with a mature leaf and an aerial root, if possible. Insert the cutting in equal parts moist peat and sharp sand and place in 75–80°F (24–27°C). |
