Basket Vine, Lipstick Plant, Lipstick Vine: Aeschynanthus radicans
Lax, sprawling climber with small, oval, fleshy, dark-green leaves and tubular, hooded, bright red flowers with cream yellow throats during midsummer.

Care: During winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water freely. From late spring to late summer feed every 4 weeks. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every 3 years. |

Propagation: Take 3in (7.5cm) stem-tip cuttings during midsummer and insert in equal parts moist peat and sharp sand. Place in 64–70°F (18–21°C). |
