Pheasant Leaf: Cryptanthus fosterianus
This spreading, rosette-forming plant has finely spine-edged, copper-brown leaves with grayish cross-banding on the upper surface. The undersides are covered with gray scales.

Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water more freely but ensure good drainage, and feed every 5–6 weeks with weak liquid fertilizer. Repot in early summer when roots fill the pot. |

Propagation: In spring or early summer, remove offsets, transfer to individual pots, and place in 64–70°F (18–21°C). |
