Heartleaf Philodendron, Sweetheart Plant, Sweetheart Vine: Philodendron scandens
Moderately vigorous climbing evergreen perennial that forms a dense array of heart-shaped, mid-green leaves up to 4in (10cm) long and 3in (7.5cm) wide. When young, the leaves have an attractive bronze shade. The variegated form has cream blotches on the lower half of each leaf.

Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water more freely and feed every 3 weeks. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every 2 years. Provide a moss-covered pole for support. |

Propagation: Take 4in (10cm) cuttings in early summer. Place in 70–75°F (21–24°C). |
