Earth Star: Cryptanthus bivittatus
Distinctive and easily grown, this rosette-forming plant has crinkle-edged, lance-shaped, light-green leaves with dark-green stripes down the center.

Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist; in summer, water more freely but ensure it is well drained, and feed every 5–6 weeks with weak liquid fertilizer. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot. |

Propagation: In spring or early summer, remove offsets, transfer to individual pots, and place in 64–70°F (18–21°C). |
