Still popularly known as Bryophyllum tubiflorum and Kalanchoe tubiflora, this succulent, shrublet-like plant develops a stiff stem. The cylindrical leaves are green, blotched brown, and about 3in (7.5cm) long, with a distinctive furrow. Small plantlets develop at the ends of these leaves. In spring, small, bell-shaped, orange flowers are sometimes produced.
