Busy Lizzie, Patience Plant, Patient Lucy, Sultana, Zanzibar Balsam: Impatiens walleriana
Earlier known as Impatiens sultani, this is one of the most popular houseplants. It is sometimes classified as a flowering houseplant because it lives from one year to another, but usually becomes leggy and is replaced every year. It has flat-faced, 5-petaled flowers in colors such as pink, red, purple, orange, and white. There are many hybrids in mixed colors, some with variegated leaves.
