Cây Bách Xù Núi Rocky (Rocky Mountain Juniper, Juniperus scopulorum) này được thu thập tại South Dakota vào những năm 1990s bởi Andy Smith. Tôi đã đến vườn ươm Brussel’s Nursery nơi không ai muốn mua (mặc dù giá khá hợp lý). Vì thế tôi đã mua và chuyển về Đức (Germany) vào năm 2001.

Đây là những hình ảnh đầu tiên tại Đức năm 2001. Cho đến lúc đó thì chúng tôi vẫn thiếu nhiều cây nguyên liệu tốt đến từ Mỹ.

Vào mùa xuân năm 2002 tôi đã cắt một vài cành lớn và đi dây cây. Nó quá cao, hơn 125cm. Tôi đã quyét định bán nó bởi vì nó quá cao nhưng không ai muốn mua nó ở Đức. Cám ơn chúa!

In summer of 2003 I broke a couple of these upward moving branches down ruthlessly. I left a few as insurance. In summer of 2004 it was obvious that the breaking down did not seriously harm the branches, as expected. So I could start major styling then. Now it was till hig, arond 100 cm, but not too high anymore. Not for sale from now on.

Deadwood was edited and major banches put into position. With a tree like this am very careful to do things stage wise.

This is what a RMJ has to look like before you start to seriousely wire it! It takes several years before the shoots are that healthy. In spring of 2005 it was time to wire.

Now this starts to look kind of good. The virtual shows what it could look like in a decent pot.

Today, May 12, 2007 was the day I decided to move it to the final pot. The tree has lost a few branches. But it does not matter much. We will fix the baby soon. I had to do this all wihtout help. But as you can see I am used to this.

The pot is by Horst Heinzlreiter. It was made for Wolfgang originally, but he found that it was far too big for anything he has. It seems to be made for this RMJ. Within the next few days I will take off the wire which starts to bite in. Then I will wire again and it will look kind of finished probably. You see a happy man.

Trên hình tôi đã lưu ý, cũng như nhiều bạn sẽ thấy, phần JIN bên phải có lẽ hơi quá dài. Tôi đã thử chỉnh sửa trên máy tính phần gỗ chết. Tôi đi ra ngoài và nhìn cây một lần nữa. Khi cây ở trước mặt tôi, phần JIN trông vẫn khá ổn. Đây là hiện tượng có liên quan đến 3 chiều, và không xuất hiện ở một bức ảnh 2 chiều. Tôi sẽ tạo kiểu cho tán lá trước và sau đó xem xét thêm phần gỗ chết.

Có những ngày mưa gió, ngày nắng chói chang nhưng khi mở cửa ra hàng hoa dại vẫn nằm đó dưới bậc thềm. Không nhạt không úa mà vẫn còn vẻ tươi trong như ngày nào.
