Cretan Brake Fern, Ribbon Fern: Pteris cretica
Cretan Brake Fern, Ribbon Fern: Pteris creticaStrap-shaped leaflets form light-green fronds. There are several attractive forms, including ‘Albolineata’ (Variegated Table Fern) with white bands along its midribs. Some have cockscomb-tipped fronds.

Care: In winter, keep compost slightly moist; in summer, water freely but ensure good drainage, and feed every 3 weeks with weak liquid fertilizer. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every 3–4 years. |
