False Palm, Japanese Fern Palm, Japanese Sago Palm, Sago Palm: Cycas revoluta
This cycad (not palm) grows slowly, usually developing only one new leaf a year. These are dark green, palm-like, and form a rosette that arises from a ball-like base.

Winter: 59–64°F (15–18°C). Indirect light |
Summer: 64–80°F (18–27°C). Indirect light or light shade |

Care: In winter, keep compost barely moist, especially if temperature is low; in summer, water freely but ensure good drainage, and feed with weak liquid fertilizer every 6 weeks. Repot in spring when roots fill the pot, usually every 3–4 years. |

Propagation: Remove offsets in early summer and transfer to individual pots, or sow seeds in spring in compost with a temperature of about 80°F (27°C). |
