Powder Puff Cactus: Mammillaria bocasana
Desert cactus with rounded, dark, bluish-green cushions covered with white spines and silky hairs. During midsummer it bears bell-shaped, creamy yellow flowers, ½in (12mm) wide.

Care: In winter, keep compost relatively dry; in summer, water freely, ensuring the compost is well drained, and feed every 2 weeks with weak liquid fertilizer. |

Propagation: Remove offsets in early summer, allow cut ends to dry slightly, insert in sandy compost, and place in 50–61°F (10–16°C). |
