Black-Eyed Susan Vine: Thunbergia alata
Well-known climbing garden plant in temperate climates but also superb indoors for creating a colorful screen. During summer, it has white, yellow, or orange flowers, each with a black eye, amid oval, mid-green leaves.

Summer: 50–61°F (10–16°C); avoid high temperatures. Direct light without full sun |
Care: In summer, keep compost moist but not waterlogged. From when the buds show color, feed with weak liquid fertilizer every 10 days. |

Propagation: Either buy plants in late spring or early summer, or sow seeds in seed trays in early spring. Place in 61–64°F (16–18°C). |
